Through cooperative agreements with the USDA APHIS, NIAMRRE and other NIAMRRE-member institutions have been working to improve access to information on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in domesticated animals through the development of an AMR Dashboard Ecosystem which will leverage AMR data generated in veterinary diagnostic laboratories (VDLs) across the country.
Data governance will play a vital role in managing the AMR Dashboard Ecosystem to meet the expectations and address concerns of data providers (i.e., VDLs) and to satisfy the needs of data users. Therefore, a Data Governance Handbook has been developed to guide the management and responsible use of AMR data within the AMR Dashboard Ecosystem
