Dr. O’Kelley is a board-certified small animal emergency and critical care specialist who leads antimicrobial stewardship for Mars Veterinary Health’s more than 3,000 hospitals globally. Dr. O’Kelley obtained a BS in Biology from UNC-Chapel Hill and a DVM degree from NC State University prior to completing a rotating internship at Tufts University and a small animal emergency and critical care residency from Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, MA.

Ben worked a critical care specialist and medical director for nearly a decade before working in a number of medical leadership positions in Mars Veterinary Health (MVH). After leading antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention and control efforts for BluePearl Pet Hospitals (MVH’s emergency and specialty business) for several years, Dr. O’Kelley recently began leading these efforts across all of MVH.
