One Health AMR Interprofessional Education

If you would like to explore One Health impacts of AMR by connecting with participants from across the nation in an engaging virtual program, join the next cohort of the NIAMRRE One Health IPE program.  Through teamwork, you will explore cases that will challenge your paradigms of antimicrobial resistance and stewardship and help put One Health into action through daily activities and responsibilities

What is IPE?

Interprofessional Education (IPE) is “when individuals from two or more professions learn about, from, and with each other to enable effective collaboration…” (WHO, 2010). IPE has four core competencies that assist individuals in building their skills to effectively collaborate across sectors. The One Health IPE Program brings individuals from the animal, human and plant sectors to learn about IPE in more detail and apply it to a variety of AMR case studies.

Who Should Participate?

The program seeks representation from all the One Health Sectors and individuals at a variety of career stages. Individuals should be active in the human, animal, environment, or plant sectors and want to learn more about how we can work together to combat antimicrobial resistance. Sessions are held virtually and allow participation regardless of location within North America.

Registration is open, but not limited to:

  • Academic personnel
  • Graduate and professional students
  • Postdocs
  • Industry personnel
  • Startup company employees

Participants must reside in North America.
