Dr. Laura Alt is a Microbiologist with the Bacteriology section of the USDA’s National Veterinary Services Laboratories (NVSL) in Ames, Iowa. She graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Environmental Science and a focus on antimicrobial resistance in agroecosystems. After completing a post-doc with the National Animal Health Laboratory Network (NAHLN) Program Office she moved into her current role partnering with the NAHLN to manage NVSL’s ongoing AMR Monitoring Program.
