Dr. Alexandra M. Medley is a veterinarian and public health professional at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where she works within the Division of Foodborne, Waterborne, and Environmental Diseases (DFWED) as the Associate Director for Antimicrobial Resistance. Her work focuses on prevention, and control of antimicrobial-resistant enteric bacteria and fungi and advancing One Health approaches that connect human, animal, and environmental health. She holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and a Master of Public Health from The Ohio State University, as well as a Bachelor of Music from Oberlin Conservatory, bringing this multidisciplinary perspective to complex public health challenges.
