Abstracts for Summer Symposium Due June 18

NEW! Quarterly Research Symposia Series

There is important AMR research being conducted at NIAMRRE member institutions, and we want to showcase it! 

We invite students, educators, and researchers to submit abstracts for our virtual Quarterly Research Symposia. These symposia will be three hours in length with a mix of prerecorded presentations and a live panel or training session based around an AMR-related topical theme. Deadlines for the first symposium are coming up quickly - please review this email and submit your abstract by June 18.

Submission Details

Abstract submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis with deadlines for consideration for each individual symposium. A committee of AMR experts will review each application based on the following criteria:

• Topic is AMR related and/or furthers the mission of NIAMRRE
• Interest to a One Health audience
• Overall scientific merit

Accepted abstracts will be selected to present at the symposium with a theme that corresponds with the abstract topic.

Presentation Details

• Presentations will be pre-recorded and 15 minutes in length (fall presentations are 10 minutes in length).
• Presenters are required to attend a 45 minute presentation workshop prior to recording their talk (see "presenter training" dates under Deadlines)
• Selected presenters can work with NIAMRRE staff to record their presentation, or upload their own recording. Presentations may be edited for length.
• Recordings will be played during the symposium with presenters available to address live, typed Q&A using the Zoom Q&A function. Presenters must be available during the first two hours on the day of the symposium to answer questions.
