NIAMRRE Welcomes Farm Foundation to Drive Cross-Sector Engagement in Combating Antibacterial Resistance

AMES, IOWA (November 5, 2020) – The National Institute of Antimicrobial Resistance Research and Education (NIAMRRE) announces the addition of Farm Foundation as an affiliate member.

Farm Foundation joins NIAMRRE’s ten academic member institutions, one affiliate, and two startup industry members. As an accelerator of practical solutions for agriculture, their mission to build trust and understanding where agriculture meets society is vitally important to NIAMRRE’s vision to be the trusted leader in coordinating One Health efforts that preserve the ability to prevent and treat infectious diseases for generations to come.

“I am pleased that the Farm Foundation has joined our organization,” shares NIAMRRE’s Executive Director, Paul Plummer. “Their goal of non-partisan, objective dialogue is right in line with NIAMRRE’s mission of a coordinated effort to address the global threat of antibacterial resistance.”

Membership is available to academic, industry, and affiliate stakeholders. Applications are accepted year-round for organizations dedicated to advancing the One Health approach—a collaborative approach with the goal of achieving optimal health outcomes between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment.
