DESCRIPTION:Join us Tuesday\, July 9\, noon-1 PM CST\, as we explore the innovations at Phase Genomics with Dr. Ivan Liachko\, PhD. \nIn the fight against AMR\, Phase Genomics has developed a unique genomic resource that serves as the world’s largest source of antimicrobial proteins known as lysins.  Lysins are proteins used by bacteriophages to kill their microbial hosts and can be effectively used as precision antimicrobials that overcome resistance mechanisms.  Phase is building a scalable process for screening and optimizing novel lysins to treat a wide variety of infectious threats\, including novel and emerging infectious agents.  \nRSVP \nSpeaker Bio: \n Dr. Ivan Liachko\, PhD | Founder & CEO at Phase Genomics \n Dr. Liachko is the Founder/CEO and Chief Scientist of Phase Genomics and one of the inventors of their core technology. He received his B.S. at Brandeis University\, his Ph.D. at Cornell University\, and went on to do his postdoctoral work in the Department of Genome Sciences at the University of Washington. He has authored more than 50 academic papers and a number of patents in the field of genomics and synthetic biology.
